We Will Remember Them

St Andrew’s Church was packed – upstairs and downstairs – for the annual Service of Remembrance held at St Andrew’s in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, 11 November.

We are, as always, very grateful for the Al Khubairat Singers and Players joining us for the service.  They performed movements from Johannes Brahms’ German Requiem and their contribution is greatly appreciated by St Andrew’s and all who attended the service.

A guard of honour was paraded by the Uniformed Youth Services of Abu Dhabi and their flags were presented and laid up during the service.

Bernardo, Thank you and God Bless

Goodbye Bernardo

After 32 years of dedicated service, St Andrew’s Church and the wider community said a fond farewell to Bernardo Gomes this weekend. He returns to Goa and looks forward to spending more time with his family. Bernardo rose from office helper, when the Church was situated on the Corniche, to becoming compound manager, quietly and efficiently looking after the 50 plus congregations and organisations that use St Andrews compound each week. We wish you well Bernardo .. as you continue ‘life’s journey’.
